Vesely, Mannarino reach Auckland final

Auckland, New Zealand (SportsNetwork.com) – Czech qualifier Jiri
Vesely had to get through a tough match with fourth-seeded Kevin Anderson to
reach the final at the Heineken Open, a final tune-up for the Australian
Open.

Vesely cruised through the first set and settled for a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) victory
over the South African Anderson on the hardcourts at ASB Tennis Centre.

Frenchman Adrian Mannarino will meet Vesely in the final after dispatching
lucky loser Lucas Pouille 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.

This year’s Auckland champion will earn $84,500.
