Hobart, Australia (SportsNetwork.com) – Five scheduled second-round
matches were postponed because of rain Wednesday at the Hobart International
tennis event, a final Australian Open tune-up.
Thursday’s schedule in Hobart now calls for five second-rounders and all four
quarterfinal affairs.
Top seeds Casey Dellacqua, Zarina Diyas and Camila Giorgio were among those
rained out on Wednesday.
This year’s Hobart titlist will earn $43,000.
