easy fourth-round winner Wednesday at the $5.3 million BNP Paribas Open, the
first ATP Masters event of the season.
The fourth-seeded former world No. 2 star cruised past Frenchman Adrian
Mannarino 6-3, 6-3 on the hardcourts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
This year’s Australian Open runner-up Murray lost to Rafael Nadal in the 2009
Indian Wells championship match.
Murray’s quarterfinal opponent will be 12th-seeded Spanish left-hander
Feliciano Lopez, who ousted fifth-seeded U.S. Open runner-up Kei Nishikori
6-4, 7-6 (7-2) on Day 7 in the California desert.
This week’s big winner will claim $900,400.
