Not wanting to make mountians out of mole hills, Simona Halep has quite a packed draw one weekend from winning Indian Wells. For what is being credited as her biggest tourney win, Simona will have a hard case building momentum in Miami. The draw is somewhat packed and her side of it is laden with land mines. Apex Tennis betting will examine the possible road she travels down in Southern Florida this week.
Whiner Past
Let us hope that Simona takes the high road here. In her past, she has had the tendency of taking off of the next event after she won the previous week. She needs to overcome the small physical and mental ailments that allow her to do this. If she can see it through, we will get an excellent barometer of her chances in Paris on how she handles the heat in Miami.
Eugenie There
Bouchard has been bounced from almost everything of note as of late. The #6 seed is no danger in this tourney. Jankovic and Aza could meet in the second round because Victoria has all those points to accrue once again after missing almost a year hurt. She got bounced in straight sets by Maria so she still has not regained her touch. Finally, Madison Keys is here. She had a downtrend against Jankovic and is eager to do well for the Miami crowd.
Quite a field to just get to the semis in Miami. We project that Simona does make it there if she plays at all. Every step of the way has a land mine but almost everyone in that group has had a hard Feb and on in 2015. Even though she had problems hoisting that heavy trophy on Indian Wells, this is Simona’s tourney to lose. Wager accordingly and good fortune.
