Aussie Open Enters Week Two

One round until ratings gold will be found for ESPN.  Will the network get another desired matchup?  Is there any value in fading this from happening?  Finally, what male player is about ready to leap into the Big Four.  He is doing everything right in blasting near equal players off of the court.  Read all of this in our next edition of Apex Tennis Handicapping.

Kei Wearing Down His Contemporaries

While waiting to see if he can jump into that last echelon of Grand Slam winners, Kei Nishikori is finally starting to consistently beat the players he should.  Case in point when he encountered a player that can frustrate almost any male player, David Ferrer.  He might not be at his best but David puts in prolonged resistance almost any time when he does not have to play the Big Four.  This year might be different as David could not outlast Kei with Nishikori winning most of the longer rallies.  When that happens, Ferrer usually goes out in straight sets.  Kei beat him 6-3, 6-3, and 6-3 to get to the quarterfinals.  Stan the Man awaits him in a handicapping and fan dream matchup.

Muguruza Could Not Keep Up French Pace

Serena survived in three verses a very game Gabrine Muguruza.  Those with good memories should recall that this lady vanquished Serena from the French.  In that matchup, Gabrine was on and blasted Williams off of the court.  The first set of this matchup was more of the same.  Even publications that favor Americans like SI tweeted that Serena was getting outhit in that first set.  In the end, Gabrine had her chances but outside of that first set, she did not convert on many break point chances.  Squandered points against a legendary champion does not bode well.  Serena marches on to play Cibulkova in the next round.

One round until we have a Williams’ sister semi final but Apex Tennis Betting is wagering it will not happen.  Cibulkova gets +402 against Serena while the really hot playing Madison Keys is getting near +130 against a tired Venus.  Here at Apex Tennis, we recommend an investment on both of them.  Between Cibulkova and Keys, one upset will happen.  Have both and your payday will be substantial.  Check in later in the week to see how we did and future tennis free picks.
